Deep cleansing continued - the ribbons

Yep, I am really sorting out my studio. So this weekend, I have been using these ribbon cards by Cropper Hopper. I like them. They come in 3 sizes and make my storage quite uniform:

You simply tuck the ribbon between the teeth to start, then wrap it around the card. I was using their little clips to hold the other end....ran out...started using plain scotch tape, it works just fine.

I put the 1" x 3" cards in a plano "tackle" box. I just love these boxes!

The 3x3 and 4x6 cards hold a whole lot more ribbons and these are down in larger drawers.

I stacked the plano box on top of the bigger cards and it will all go back into the ben.

I feel so relieved! Ribbons all sorted, wrapped, color cordinated (as much as I could) and put away! Perhaps now I can find what I need to work on!

In honor of me completing this task, I have the following 3 packages of Maya Road ribbons to give away. Just post any comment to this blog in the next 48 hours, I will put your name in a hat and draw a winner Tuesday evening! TA gave me the idea for this great way to recycle product I haven't used!!!

Tomorrow....I'll start sorting through the brads! You just can't imagine how many brads there are in my studio! I'm not even sure I know where they all are! And I'll bet I can find some of them to give away, too! Let the fun begin!!!

Hi Jen,

Only discovered your blog recently. I'm looking at your 'tidy up' in progress and thinking I should be doing the same lol! Maybe when I've finished the 4 projects I have on the go just now :-)

The Maya Road ribbons look awesome, thanks for the chance to win them.

Hi Jen,

Pleased to see you are using a similar system to mine for storing your ribbons.
I haven't seen these cropper hopper cards - I like the way they have "teeth" to hold the ribbon in place when you start to wind.
Being a self-confessed ribbon aholic I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get some more!

Close your eyes...listen carefully..."come on to my house, to my house, I'm gona' give you everything!" then I don't have to clean and organize! You amaze me GF!

Jen, love your solution to ribbon storage - mine are all mixed up in a plastic bag! I really need to get those sorted out!! Just because I'm not ribbon-organized, doesn't mean I wouldn't love these Maya Road ribbons to add to my stash!!

What a great idea! I have containers from Wal-Mart that store the ribbons on their round holders but they do take up some space!

Wow I'm feeling so much the newbie that I am. I have a little bit of ribbon I purchased for my visit to the zoo while in San Diego and I just bought 2 little rolls that were on sale at my local store and that's ALL I've got. LOL I don't even have a need for organizers yet... Too bad I'm too late for your draw that would have helped to advance me a little :-) Oh well I'll just have to visit Mel again and raid her drawers. (she on the other hand needs your little organizing tab things LOL)and no Mel I'm not coming down to help you roll it all LMAO ...
