Tuesday is half off at the thrift store and I just can't help myself!!! Found cute little baskets and decided to do some more work on my wall of Heidi Swapp altered art. I promise, I will photo the whole wall when it's all done!
Spray painted it white and wove paper strips over existing weaving. Pretty simple!
Think I paid a dollar for this one:
oops! guess I took the hearts off before I took the pic!
Just redid the wire and put paper over the hearts. Love this one!
I "won" this in our white elephant gift exchange and immediately knew what I was going to do with it!
And I just love how it came out! Hand painted the turdquoise on the baskets, then diecut flourishes in grungeboard....
What you can't really see here is all the glossy accents I used to outline all the flourishes. This may be my favorite!
I think that in 2009, I'm going to do "art" that I can use around the house! Practical art. OK, we'll see how long that lasts! But for now, I'll bet you start looking at baskets a little differently!!!

Jen these are wonderful. Again I wish we had these places over here because I sure can see using those basket to hold the colored markers. Before you know it all your items will be matching.
