fun cards this time

When I was showing the differences in the 5 clear stickles that Ranger has, I used this stamp.  As you go from left to right, you can see how the color of the glitter changes.  But they are simply the 5 shades of clear stickles!  If you size your samples just right - you can turn them all into cards and there's no waste.

When I first saw this stamp at a show up in Denver, I absolutely had to have it!  I laugh every time I use it!!!  The "cup" is made using metal repousse techniques on Amaco's pewter.  Very dimensional.

One of these days I'm going to make 2 of the very same card and show one with stickles and the other without.  Even adding just a drop on the background paper makes all the difference in the world!

This is a very simple technique.  Just distress inks on white paper.  I diecut out the dress form and put stickler, embossed distress paper behind it.  Then added the diecut arch over the "window".  I love the look and it's just so easy to do!

Are you starting to ask when the cards will end and I'll get on to something else?  Not yet!!!

Some non-dolly cards

Design U'R Memories offers numerous card-making classes each month.  I try to take them when I'm here.  They cost about $20 and I figure I walk away with enough stuff to make 20 - 25 cards.  Well worth it!  But I do need to get current with my blogging as I can't remember which cards I made in class and which ones I made at a crop!  I think this was from a class...but then they wouldn't have used the diecut on top, so maybe not!  LOL!!! Oh!  Where did I leave my memory???

The background for this card was a class....but everything else I added!  Lots of Graphic 45 paper on this one.  I did love the secret garden series.

I demo'd distress inks and how you can make the sky and grass and then stamp trees.  So easy to turn these demo samples into cards...

I did a challenge once on how to make 20 cards in 20 minutes.  This would be one of those.  The card is actually a tag from the secret garden line with 2 layers of paper cut for the mats, then stickles on top and a peel-off sentiment.  I am really liking peel-offs these days!

So, how many cards can you make in 20 minutes?  I can't do that many any more as I need to break for chocolate way too often!  :o)

...and more cards.....

It never ceases to amaze me how differently Crystal stickles looks on the various background papers.  It is the only shade of stickles that I've used on all my cards.   Just go back the last few blogs and check it out!  Here you can see the difference in just this single card!

and by using stickles, you can make layers pop.  I buy 5 bottles at a time!

this card just makes me smile every time I look at it!

and if I were ill, I'd love to get this!  The entire background is stickled!

What on earth do I plan to do with all these cards?  Well...stay tuned as there are even more!!!

More Julie Nutting doll stamps

One of my favorite kits from HOTP is Cherry on top.  It's just so bright and cheerful.  If you know the kit, you will start to notice that I cut things a bit differently than what their cut lines are.  I think it just makes the kit more fun!  They teach classes at the local scapbook store using these kits and I think they've given up on me "following the rules" - I just don't make my cards like the samples!!

I also really liked the sentiments in this kit

Lots of glitter and bling.  Now, who doesn't like to get a little something sparkly in their mailbox???  Oops!  Looks like I need to repair her slip!  LOL!

I remember as a child I simply loved paper dolls.  Perhaps that's why I like these stamps so much?  This dress is cut out of glitter paper that you can make by using Elizabeth Craft's glitter over the adhesive paper over printed paper.  Just so shimmery!

I really like mixing papers from different kits.  I think you can get about 20 cards from a single kit...and then I take my leftovers and make "scrap" cards.  I'll be posting them later on.  More cards tomorrow!
