She grilled hamburgers up for lunch on the back deck and the weather was absolutely perfect.
It didn't take long for us to make a total mess on our class table
This is a future pendant made with Franklin opals over metal flakes on Midnight Glass. So cool!

I made a ton more today and hope to finish them up tomorrow so I can post them tomorrow night. And yes...I'll be teaching opals here in my studio soon. Can't wait to see how they do on Metal clay! Will be so much fun to experiment!!!
This whole week is a "play" week. Linda will be here Thursday for Basement Babes and we are going to experiment with Opals embossing enamels and Friendly Plastic! I just can't wait! In the meantime, I'm working on new make-n-takes for the show this weekend in Colorado Springs. Two more days of non-stop play! I may just have to sleep all next week!

They all look amazing. I'm an Opals newbie and just love it, but haven't had much success with using chipboard, it seems to curl with the heat gun as does grungeboard. Any suggestions? Congratulations on becoming certified too!
get the chipboard really wet with versamark. Put it face down in a pile of opals (pour opals into a glitter pan). Press it into them, turn it over and heat them til they flow, then press again and heat again. Do this 3 times and you will have your chipboard covered - no warping. :o)
Thanks Jen, I'll give that a try, my versamark probably needs re-inking, also I was sprinkling on the opals rather than pressing into them, maybe that makes a difference too.
Looks fabulous
What is the name of the real life product - from whish supplier? Ranger?
Thanks so much, Jen - wish I was there!
All the best from Denmark,
