I'm not alone!

My sister turned 60, so I'm no longer alone in the age thing!!!  We surprised her with lunch at Wendy's....her "favorite" place!

We saw these stamps at the show in Denver last week.  I bought them right in front of her, made the card, then wrapped the stamps up and gave them to her!  Stamps by Judith....love them!  Click on the photo to get a better view.

I cut up little pieces of roam and wrapped string around them to get the curlers.  Just rolled them around in ink to get them to look maroon.

She laughed!  It was a great day!  Can't wait till all my sisters turn 60!

Dear Vicki....

Vicki said that if I wasn't going to blog every day, then I had to email her every day. And I decided that rather than sending out individual emails....I might as well blog! LOLOL! OK, she did say I only had to blog every other day. So maybe I'll just rename my whole blog and we'll call it "Dear Vicki" from now on!!!

Kerry took me, Susan and Tony out to dinner on Monday night for my birthday - to the Melting Pot. The really sad thing is that it's only 2 miles from our house - way too conveninet if you asked me. Before they opened one up here, it was an hour's drive and we never went!!!

So Susan made me this wonderful pop-up card -

Sorry this photo is a little blurry, but you get the idea. Vicki, I'm thinking this would make a wonderful class for the store, huh? OK, I'm thinking we should offer this as a class here in my studio!!!

When we got to the restaurant, Kerry surprised me with roses already on the table. How sweet!!! We brought them home to take photos and then forgot to turn on the flash. I think it was just a bad camera day for me!

But the roses are just stunning - and he has proved once again that he can still surprise me!!!

While I'm another year older and actually starting to feel it a bit....there seems to be more and more that I want to do with my life and less and less time.

Birthday box

Just a quickie tonight! Cover a box with gift wrap. Cut a piece of paper 2" wide by 12" long, fold in thirds and attach as the handle. Diecut Spellbinders child doll parts die and dress her with a Jolee's sticker. Then diecut the flower die, layer it and curl th edges up.

It's a great gift box, or just a fun little "basket".

So quick and easy and made in less than 30 minutes!
